Heidi Chambers

Heidi Chambers earned her M.A. in Spanish in 1998 from Washington University in St. Louis. Her dissertation work for the Ph.D in Romance Languages and Literatures, also from Washington University, is in progress. Her major areas of research and interest include Spanish-American literature, contemporary Southern Cone short story in particular, and second language acquisition.

She joined the faculty of the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures in 2004. Since joining the Department, she has taught beginning, intermediate and advanced Spanish grammar and conversation classes as well as Introduction to the Study of Hispanic Literature. Currently, she serves as Coordinator of Beginning Spanish (101-102).
