Nancy Schnurr earned her M.A. in Spanish Language and Culture from Middlebury College while living in Madrid, Spain. She completed additional postgraduate training in the areas of educational psychology, French, Portuguese, and Spanish Literature at Middlebury College, the Complutense University in Madrid, University of South Carolina-Columbia, Webster University and Washington University.

At Washington University, she is currently the Coordinator of the Oral Communications in Spanish Program, (301/321) and also teaches Spanish for Beginners (101/102), Advanced Grammar and Composition (307), Spanish for Business (351).

In addition, Ms. Schnurr acts as a linguistic evaluator in Spanish for Washington University grant and scholarship applicants (Fulbright,etc.) She is a Certified Oral Proficiency Tester with the American Council on Teaching Foreign Languages and Oral Proficiency Tester for Language Testing International, (ACTFL).
