
Gail Swick lived 17 years in Spain where she taught English in corporations, working as a translator/interpreter in business and medical settings as well. Upon her return to the U.S., she earned an M.A.T. in the Education Department at Washington University. She has taught in the Romance Language and Literatures Department since 1993.
Presently Coordinator of Intermediate Spanish, 201, Ms. Swick has also taught and coordinated Advanced Writing and Composition and Oral Communication. She designed and teaches Medical Spanish courses for both pre-medical students (Spanish 353) and for medical professionals in the St. Louis area (Spanish for Health Care Professionals, in University College). Additionally, Ms. Swick teaches Advanced Spanish Translation for Graduate Students in Summer School.
