Faculty Employment Opportunity: Lecturer in French

The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a full-time lecturer in French. The appointment will begin in the fall semester of 2023 and run for one academic year, with the possibility of renewal. Classes begin in August. PhD in French required. We seek a colleague whose field of expertise will complement our faculty’s existing strengths. The successful candidate will teach at all levels of the French language program, possibly including courses in our popular French for the Medical Professions track, and will be assigned departmental service that may include coordinating teams of faculty and graduate instructors. The teaching load is normally three courses per semester, plus a service component.
