Bailey Willden is a Ph.D student in Hispanic Studies at Washington University in St. Louis. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish with a minor in Latin American Studies from Brigham Young University. Her undergraduate research centered around women writers in the Spanish-speaking world, culminating with her honors thesis entitled “"Rosal de María" by Soror Maria do Céu: A Pedagogical Edition and Literary Analysis.” Bailey’s interests include queer and gender theory as well as modern Latin American literature, culture and history
