Emma Merrigan

Emma Merrigan completed her BA in Spanish and English literature in 2014 at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. She is a third year PhD student in Hispanic Studies and is pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Her dissertation, tentatively titled “Cripping Utopia: Revolutionary Corporeality in Cuba and the Diaspora” will explore representations of disability and illness in 20th and 21st century Cuban and Diasporic cultural production.
