Katherine Tilghman is a Ph.D. student in Hispanic Studies at Washington University in St. Louis. She received her B.A. in Spanish from Indiana University with minors in Portuguese, French, and Music Studies. Her senior honors thesis, an abridged version of which she presented at IU’s academic conference Diálogos in 2021, was entitled “Entre la vida y la muerte: imágenes espectrales en Horacio Quiroga y Adolfo Bioy Casares.” Her research interests include twentieth- and twenty-first-century prose fiction, with particular interest in the literature of Latin America, innovations in form and genre, and representations of gender in literature.
