Joseph Schraibman earned his Ph.D. at the University of Illinois. His fields of interest include 19th and 20th century Spanish Literature, the Three Religions in Spain, Literature, and the Inquisition in Spain, Latin-America, Portugal and Brazil. His interests also extend to various aspects of Cuban history and literature. Professor Schraibman has been the recipient of various honors, including two Fulbright grants, an ACLS grant, and a Galdos prize in the Canary Islands. He was a Spring 2008 Fellow in the Center for Humanities at Washington University, and is on the Library Committee on Acquisitions. He also interviews prospective Hispanic students for admission to Washington University.
