REH Talk Series: The state of memory studies in Spain, Peru, Argentina and Colombia

In the current context of the rise of radical right-wing movements in different parts of the world, this round table will discuss the state of memory studies in three Latin American countries (Argentina, Colombia and Peru) and Spain, in order to reflect on aspects such as political violence, negationism, transitional justice and the role of art, among others, within those contexts. We will have presentations from professors Alexandra Hibbett (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú), Alison Ribeiro de Menezes (University of Warwick), Patricia Nieto (Universidad de Antioquia) and Teresa Basile (Universidad Nacional de la Plata), specialists in memory studies, and then there will be time for a dialogue with the audience. In Spanish.
