Kaché graduated from the University of Iowa with a double B.A. in journalism and Spanish. She was a 2017-2018 Fulbright Colombia grantee where she taught at the National University of Colombia in Bogotá and mentored Martin Luther King Scholars—an initiative geared to increase bilingualism within the Black and Indigenous communities throughout Colombia. Having lived in Peru and Colombia, she looks forward to further developing her understanding of the Black diaspora in Latin America alongside the WashU family.
